When we are part of community, we tend to be predisposed to the organization’s mission, cause or belief. We are more willing to invest time and resources and open ourselves to meaningful experiences. When we engage participants through virtual events, the effectiveness of our efforts can significantly be enhanced by a sense of belonging and loyalty to that organization. In other words, a sense of community. We’ve all heard the maxim, people do business with and risk themselves with people they know, like and trust. As you plan and execute your virtual events, are your participants predisposed to joining your programs and actively participating?

Join KiKi L’Italien as she shares the story of Association Chat, the association industry’s most popular online community. Outlining the steps she took to build the Chat’s online forum, professional education outlet, and podcast, KiKi will tell the story of how she propelled Association Chat to the forefront of thought leadership for the association industry. She will also reveal how you can leverage such tools as virtual events and online chats to build and maintain trust within your community.

Develop a Successful Production Plan

1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Creators of well designed virtual events including livestream, virtual conferences and webinars know it's attention to detail that ensures a successful program.  A successful production begins with a clear strategy for creating the ideal learning experience. Once a strategy is confirmed, the production plan can follow. How do you create this plan? What elements should be included? What are some of the latest trends in virtual event production?

In this session, CommPartners' multimedia team members will guide you through the creation of a production plan that ensures a successful event. They will share ideas for ensuring you have the wow factor to entertain and enlighten your attendees.

Attendees of this session will:

  • Learn how to be methodical in ensuring all details for each event are addressed and that your programs are professionally delivered.
  • Understand new strategies  to engage attendees including camera positioning, professional add ins and audience interaction.
  • View and discuss examples of organizations who have effectively engaged remote audiences through a professional production.

Virtual events are high profile opportunities to enhance or detract from the relationship you have with your community. This session will help you ensure you have well design and executed event experiences.

Association Chat with KiKi L’Italien

4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Industry expert KiKi L’Italien will present a live broadcast of her Association Chat weekly webcast.

Association Chat started as a weekly tweet chat and grew into an online community, podcast, and resource for the association industry. The Chat has become an online space for honest conversation and debate, navigating difficult questions too risky to discuss in other forums.

This session will offer you the exciting opportunity to get a behind the scenes look at a livestreamed event and witness first hand the whole operation. Be a part of the live studio audience as we transform KiKi's, very popular, Association Chat into an interactive Association Jeopardy game show. Volunteer to be one of the Jeopardy contestants and compete with other attendees to test your knowledge on what you learned throughout the day. The Jeopardy winner will be leaving with a prize and some extra cool swag!
